We use it for load balancing web traffic as well as administering, enforcing security.

Pros and Cons

Pros

It's doing its job in terms of security. We allow external users to access public websites and it's done a great job of enforcing the security, making sure that only people that are authenticated that can log in.

Cons

I would say one area would be along the lines of making it seamless to do upgrades. It seems like my team makes it a big deal when there's an upgrade. It would be great if it was just a lot easier for them so they don't have to put too much time and effort into upgrading.

Return on Investment

Positive. It's definitely made our security existent, right? We don't have to worry about breaches, it's doing its job.
Immediate ROI for sure.

Usability

It just does its job. That's something good.

That's the one thing that really stood out. It was a lot easier to use from an administrator standpoint, so I think that's the one thing that really made our team decide to go with this product versus another competitor. Just ease of use.

Definitely well suited for an environment like ours where we are trying to expose our public websites to external users. In addition, it is the load balancing, which is what it's known for, but we're leveraging the security aspect of that as well as a reverse proxy. One area where I think it's not going to suit well, I can't think of any. No, I think it just does its job we bought for what it's for and it's doing it as well as it's advertised.
