Overall Satisfaction with F5 BIG-IP

We are using F5 BIG-IP for our load balancing and it gives us granular control over traffic routing and health monitoring. We have better visibility of traffic now. It also supports active - standby and active - active failover modes. This ensures that our traffic disruption is kept to minimal.

For me I did not have any formal training to use F5 BIG-IP. In my job as a system administrator, I was given the login credentials to configure and learn how to use the system through referencing and Google. If I am able to manage the system with no issues, this speaks volume of the system.

A well suited scenario to use F5 BIG-IP will be for Financial institutions operating across multiple regions. Big IP provides high availability and advanced load balancing. For scenarios where F5 BIG-IP is not appropriate will be for small startup with a low budget and do not have the capability to manage the system.
