Overall Satisfaction with F5 BIG-IP

F5 BIG-IP in my organization we use it for load balancing to make the process easier on our teams and also DNS configurations this has helped to not only cut down times on fixes but also the efficiency of our company. Nobody likes being up for 6 hours on that 2am mistake call but with this it is a much smoother process that ensures our network security and gives our team that confidence.

Cons

  • When teaching F5 I feel that F5 BIG-IP should be introduced and taught at the lower levels
  • This has made our teams more efficient
  • This made app migrating easier
When using and working it this is one of the tools that you will use the most when trying to do anything security based. F5 BIG-IP has me backing them whenever and the only thing that doesn't give this a 10 is when you do not know how to use it it is really hard.
This blows them out the water in every aspect including the ones they do not have. F5 BIG-IP has been my choice since day one it was recommended to my by friends that where involved but did not really start using it until I joined my most recent company and they are thrilled.

When load balancing this is a major help for our team but also when migrating an app there would be an error in translation trying to get it setup. With F5 BIG-IP this makes everything less "scarier"
