Overall Satisfaction with GoGuardian Teacher

GoGuardian is being used at our institution to manage student Chromebook activity in the classroom. Teachers and administrators can monitor devices from their device. You can see if the students are doing the assigned task or on the proper sight, view open tabs, sends messages and even block students. Helps to keep students on task and accountable for their time with tech in the classroom.

Although for a different platform, GoGuardian Teacher is really simple for most users to get off the ground with minimal technical expertise. Now being in a Chromebook environment, it's essential for good classroom management when you have large classes. The interface is engaging and easy to understand. Mirrors or is built off Google so users are very comfortable to use.
GoGuardian Teacher is great for a teacher who needs a way to monitor student activities and work time on a laptop. It is easy to set up, simple to use and helps to keep students accountable when online in class. It integrates with Google Classroom which is a big help. It is more powerful for teachers experienced in using tech in the classroom. The archiving ability is great but the UX needs to improve.

Class sizes and spaces vary so GoGuardian Teacher is essential for monitoring and tracking student progress on daily tasks. The ability to archive makes it effective when speaking with parents about online behavior and proper usage when issues come up.
1 - Minimal skill is necessary to support users of GoGuardian Teacher. Generally, it has been around set up and scenes feature. If the support team can build our classes it makes users lives much easier. Takes about a week to become very comfortable with its use and to show others what they need to do most often.

For a technology-heavy school, it is a necessary and good tool for managing classroom use of laptops. It is easy to set up and use. Helps track time on task and internet usage. Another source of data when speaking to parents about student work and activity. Can help plan and manage work time when you have limited devices.

GoGuardian Teacher Support

Support at GoGuardian is very quick to respond to needs. They will walk you through issues step by step. They keep at it until resolved and follow up to make sure it's still working. They have remotely taken over a device to help a staff member when I was not available to troubleshoot.

One of my staff was having an issue with setting up a scene for her class while I was not available. They first tried to talk her through it. When the issue was not resolved, they remotely logged in and did it for her. She continues to use the product effectively today.
