Overall Satisfaction with Google Calendar

I use it every day to schedule internal meetings and external meetings. I live by my calendar, so I'm viewing it at least once every hour.

Pros

  • I love the customization functionality. You're able to add different colors. So I add pink for external, yellow for internal. So it's just at a glance I can see what I had going on that day.

Cons

  • Well, one thing that was updated was the functionality to add times within your calendar invite for someone else to pick different times. So that's new, which I love. But thinking about it, I can't really think of anything that is lacking that I would need.
  • It allows me to hold myself accountable. I love the 10 minute notification before a meeting, so therefore I'm like, "Oh, I'm about to hop in a meeting."
  • Also, it's really great that there's a Slack integration, so I also get a notification within Slack.
It doesn't need any training. The UI is so easy that anyone, even my grandmother, could look at it.
Outlook Calendar - I hated the UI. Google's UI is really, really great.

I think it's appropriate for everyone that meets with customers, meets with people within their businesses. I even put my personal calendar on my work calendar. I'm just looking at it every day, so I think everyone could use it.
