Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Google Chrome for some of our BI tools because Google Chrome always has built in tools that are needed for such BI tools. We got a alot of SaaS applications that run on scripts that works best with Google Chrome. We have a recycling center that uses a SaaS solution and we use the browser Google Chrome for it. Because with the built in addons its runs best on that platform

Pros and Cons

Pros

Alot of available extentions in de Google Chrome shop
its stable and has good speed as a browser
Because its google it intergrateds nicely with your google account

Cons

the High RAM consumption could drain mid laptops quick which are most of our work laptops and it slows down Google Chrome
i would like to see saved workspaces or named tab collections. So it would be easier to have a lot of organised tabs
we see that our laptops battery drain faster with Google Chrome then with Edge. We would like to see thats the even or even better than edge.

Return on Investment

Because Google Chrome is a tool that has it all our people dont have to switch in browser they can use only Google Chrome what saves time
Because of the single use of Google Chrome our Servicedesk has to just know one application and we get half the tickets if you got 2 standard browsers.
Because Google Chrome is owned by Google it automaticly is very secure what retuns means Google Chrome has a good security. Which lead to lower security incidents

Usability

Because of the high ram usages Google Chrome could feel slow at times and the drainage of the battery makes it sometimes hard for our users. Because nowadays everybody work remote or has meetings and you want to be agile with the restrictions of a charger. But overall it's a great experience and with the great work in combination with our SaaS applications is such a high number.

Alternatives Considered

Microsoft Edge and Safari

Because the SaaS integrations on Google Chrome are top notch. A lot of SaaS applications are first tested on Google Chrome and are almost always advised by the developers to use it in Google Chrome if another browser doesn't work well.Because Google Chrome is not bound to an OS system and work almost identical on every OS system there is. The easy to use factor is high on Google Chrome.

I am personaly a fan of Google Chrome. I know every Saas application work good with Google Chrome. The first thing i do when i start somewhere new is download Google Chrome. I know i dont have to download add ons to make a program work. because of V8 JavaScript Engine and it being developt by Google it runs very smoothly.
