Overall Satisfaction with Google for Jobs

I am always on the lookout for competitive jobs for myself and to see if I am paying my employees fairly. I like to use Google Jobs to see what other companies are paying their employees and their job descriptions to match.
  • Pulls from all job site sources.
  • Provides average for other similar jobs.
  • Displays an easy to read format.
  • Sometimes Google does not pull relevant searches. I might search "marketing" and a plumber comes up.
  • Google could use more filter categories like searching multiple cities or certain hours.
  • Google could make sure companies are filling out the compensation for the job instead of leaving it up in the air.
  • The ability to search easily and filter down to the category of job.
  • Easy to apply button.
  • Positive: given me a good feel for the market and compensation.
  • Negative: sometimes the compensation estimate is way off.
Google for Jobs is maybe slightly better as it offers more categories and job information. LinkedIn sometimes gives unwanted jobs that I didn't search for.
