Overall Satisfaction with Google Sheets

Google Sheets allows my team to work collaboratively together, without needed to send multitudes of emails and spreadsheets back and forth. We use Sheets as trackers, for calculations and formulas and data warehouses. The functionality allows multiple people to work on the document or access information at the same time. With features that rival other spreadsheet software, I find Sheets the most user-friendly and easy to use.
  • Data filtering
  • Filtering
  • Pivot tables
  • vlook up
  • download/export function
  • Since we use Google as a suite, it has saved licensing hundreds of employees on Microsoft Excel
Sheets is more collaborative and allows multiple users to access the spreadsheet at once, but Excel allows for more formulas and tends not to "stick" as much when difficult or multiple formulas are used at once. The capabilities of sheets are robust enough for our purposes and find the collaborative functionality more valuable than some of the more in-depth formulas that Excel offers.

Do you think Google Sheets delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Google Sheets's feature set?

Yes

Did Google Sheets live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Google Sheets go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Google Sheets again?

Yes

I would recommend this to a teammate or colleague who needs a spreadsheet with more collaborative capabilities than mathematical/formula-type capabilities. We use Sheets to track vaccination bonuses and the pivot functionality to ensure no employee is over paid a bonus. It allows multiple teammates across the country to enter data at the same time and then allows me to audit and confirm the data before payroll processing.
