Overall Satisfaction with Google Sheets

We use Google Sheets for the majority of ad-hoc analysis done in our company. Anything from forecasting, assisting with our P+L management, scenario planning etc, most of it starts in Google Sheets.

Pros

  • Modeling
  • Analysis
  • Scenario planning

Cons

  • UI
  • Better charting features
  • Easier automation
  • Facilitates proper fiscal planning
It's very easy to use when you know what you're doing.

Some feature sets are not intuitive and require experience to be able to understand how and when to use them.

It feels a bit dated but it gets the job done, always.
It is far easier to collaborate on Google Sheets than it is with Excel however obviously it doesn't have quite as many features / it can't handle as many rows of data as excel can.

Do you think Google Sheets delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Google Sheets's feature set?

Yes

Did Google Sheets live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Google Sheets go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Google Sheets again?

Yes

It's fantastic for simple modeling and ad-hoc analysis however if you are working with a ton of data, it can't handle it.
