Overall Satisfaction with HipChat
A subset of IT is using HipChat as a proof-of-concept to replace Google Hangouts. Our needs are exceeding the group discussion capabilities of Hangouts and we find the rooms concept quite appealing.
- Intuitive interface, especially if you're used to Lotus Sametime or Google Talk.
- Room management provides the right tools for the job.
- The Ubuntu install could be more friendly - after installing HipChat I received extraneous messages on the next system update.
Comparable feature set without the overhead.
