Overall Satisfaction with HoneyBook

We use HoneyBook to manage all of our clients at our event company. We manage 250-300 clients a year in the software. It is primarily used by our front end office staff and management. It is used to send quotes, contracts, deposit payments, collect signatures, communicate with our clients. We also rely on this software to manage our sales process, client follow-ups and track our pipeline. This allows us to have a more effective process and positive client experience from start to finish.
  • Task reminders for leads and clients.
  • Automated emails based on workflow assignments.
  • Team collaboration isn't very strong in HoneyBook. There is the ability to assign a lead or client to another team member but the files are not assignable. This has caused confusion for our clients.
  • Reports are based on money collected in a certain month, versus events that took place in a certain month. This may work fine for certain clients but doesn't provide us what we need.
  • Workflow/task management has increased our bookings and saved lost opportunities by 25%.
  • Customization of brochures and contracts allows us to fully represent our brand through the sales process.
We researched many other CRM programs before choosing HoneyBook (including Dubsado, DJ Event Planner, Zoho, Salesforce, and Intellivent). HoneyBook had the best offerings for the best price and has been a successful solution to our needs. The task management, pipeline, and task management for clients are unmatched and very easy to use. We were able to customize all of our emails, brochures, and contracts to match our brand and provide a streamlined experience for our clients. HoneyBook has also been excellent at continually improving the platform and having new releases on a consistent basis. Even if the software doesn't have all the things I need (we have worked through some kinks along the way due to our company size), they are constantly growing and improving. I have also received excellent customer service from everyone at HoneyBook even though I have been demanding at times. These are the reasons I have stayed with HoneyBook even though there are a couple of improvements to the system (related to team functionality and reporting) that we are waiting for. I would recommend this software to anyone in my industry!
It is highly effective for managing the sales process for clients and creating streamlined lead/client follow up workflows and tasks. This is by far the greatest strength of this software. The system as a whole is very user-friendly and can be easily learned by someone with even limited technological experience. I recommend this software for anyone that works directly with a client and has a sales process to manage. It was designed for event companies (photographers, florists, DJs, caterers, etc). Where this software may be less suited is for a larger company that has a team that needs to share clients back and forth - or if one team member manages the sales process and another manages the process from booking a client to client completion. With this in mind, HoneyBook has been very responsive to my requests and has done their best to accommodate my needs. They value their clients!
