Overall Satisfaction with Human Interest
To provide 401k benefits to employees as a benefit. As a small business, it is hard to administer such benefits on our own.
Pros
- Audit and compliance
- Account managers are available and easy to talk to
- Setup and monitoring benefits
Cons
- Transition planning -- we got hit with a big bill because we failed audit. Our previous account manager was supposed to make changes that were never implemented.
- Negative - we weren't enrolled in Safe Harbor on time which will now cost us close to $10k in losses. Also, some of the feedback I received from the previous account manager seemed to be erroneous.
- Positive - Attractive benefit to provide to new employees
For the most part, the experience had been positive expect for this huge shock of a bill that could have been avoided had the previous account manager implemented the necessary changes.
