Great for IT Purposes
Overall Satisfaction with IBM Apptio
We use this to help organize the spend for our IT group in categories into application or non application, we also use this to pull data for executives who need to see the breakdown of items. We an track the Total Cost of applications because of the ability to add multiple data sets.
Pros
- Organizing data
- Visuals
- Drill throughs
Cons
- Time to load
- Ability to be used by others in our organization easier
- The data from several years making it slow
- Showing the impact of applications used
- Showing impact of non application spend
- Using this for executive reporting
We use objects and multiple loads to incorporate it all in one overall summary, we are able to specify for certain executives, we can create specific reports that we need to show others in more detail or less, it is nice how easy the filters are and the ability to connect several data sets/objects.
- None
Do not use others
I would say IBM Apptio has a more complex background for all the data and can show the visuals well, other issue is that it is not as easy to show to a broad audience.
