Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud File Storage

We are running on IBM classic due to the limited GPU support on IBM VPC infrastructure.
We have a docker swarm cluster distributed across multiple availability zones in the IBM London region.
We need to mount IBM [Cloud] File Storage as an NFS share across these docker swarm worker nodes. Therefore, the Docker containers running in this cluster can utilize this as central storage for audit-related data.
  • We could use [IBM Cloud File Storage] as a central file storage
  • We have multiple servers across multiple availability zones, but IBM [Cloud] File Storage does not support mounting it across multiple availability zones. Therefore, for a HA setup, this is useless.
  • The product didn't meet our requirement.
  • Amazon Elastic File System (EFS)
Yes, we are heavily using the AWS Cloud platform and they have a managed NFS service called Elastic File System (EFS). It workes really well with our HA architecture.

Do you think IBM Cloud File Storage delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with IBM Cloud File Storage's feature set?

No

Did IBM Cloud File Storage live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of IBM Cloud File Storage go as expected?

No

Would you buy IBM Cloud File Storage again?

No

IBM [Cloud] File Storage does not support mounting it across multiple availability zones. Therefore, [in my case] for a HA setup, this is useless.
