IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service is used as tool for containerisation and code deployment. It is of utmost importance that a company uses tools that can help it to scale its software to a substantial level, IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service is one such tool which helps scaling and maintaining the code containerisation and deployment.

  • Scaling horizontally and vertically

Cons

  • Costing, the costing could be way less
  • Gets laggy and slow at places
  • Clearer documentation when some deep issues arise
  • Handling software deployment efficiently leading to less downtime
  • Easy to learn leading to developers spending less time on learning the technology
  • Scaling efficiently and according to necessity

IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service, although a bit costly is more efficient in understandability and scaling horizontally and vertically, docker on the other hand is free of cost but the container files can get really lengthy, messy and hard to read and look at. Docker can also create scaling issues while I think IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service is far more superior in this regard.

It is less appropriate where one needs to be cost efficient and when one has complicated architectures and could be stuck in scenarios which are complicated and needs proper documentation, otherwise the software is top-notch and handles deployment implementation and scaling beautifully. It has clear syntax for writing container definition files and easy to understand features.
