Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Object Storage

1. We use it to store the data in different buckets and retrieve it on demand and update it.
2. External APIs put the data and keep watching for the bucket's contents if they have populated/created/ updated and remain in that state for some steady state.
3. Certain APIs upload the data into buckets which get utilized by third-party APIs.
  • Atomicity

It's very fast, and whenever the turnaround time for file transfer is shorter, it results in quicker uploads and downloads, results in a happy customer experience for us. Along with that data, atomicity is the biggest advantage in addition to its integrity.

Every vendor provides the storage capability. Just IBM Cloud Object Storage suits our needs from the cost perspective and usage perspective.
  • IBM Cloud Foundry
It helps us to build closed, and inline architecture having similar security mechanisms and trusted IBM support.
Cloudera Distribution Hadoop (CDH), Informatica Cloud Data Integration, Broadcom Automic Automation (formerly CA Automic Automation Platform)
Well suited: Atomicity is the best place. Until the file is fully uploaded, it does not show up, which reduces the chance of reading it by accident which results in partial data being uploaded.
Less Appropriate: Does not support regex.
