Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Virtual Servers

We currently us IBM Virtual Servers to host a number of various sites, from Wordpress to Custom made programs to fulfill a specific job. We have been migrating all assets over to one company and IBM virtual Servers is a big part of this. We love the flexibility of the configuarations

Pros

  • Easy re-configuring of the server
  • Expansion of storage
  • Reliability - We have never had an issue

Cons

  • The GUI itself can be hard to learn at first - so some design considerations
  • Sales - Oddly I have had issues getting sales to answer questions
  • We cut or cost by 75% by moving to Virtual Servers
With the flexibility it allows I can see it being used in a number of areas. I suppose the time it may not seem appropriate for use would be anytime a baremetal server was required.
