Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cognos Analytics

We have been using IBM Cognos Analytics since its creation. 1000's of reports are run on a daily basis as well as 1000's are run through the scheduler built into IBM Cognos Analytics. IBM Cognos Analytics offers triggering thru the scheduler which we use to confirm the completion or other processes completing the data collection needed to be available before the job is scheduled to run.

Pros

  • runs scheduled reports
  • emails output or link to output
  • connects with many products

Cons

  • easier to customize
  • time saving by allowing jobs to be scheduled
  • reports not run till data has been processed
the reporting ability and quick response. The ability to get the data in many different output formats.
allow users to create and run their own reports as needed , scheduled or on the fly
have been using since it's creation
