Overall Satisfaction with IBM Power servers

Pros

  • High level of processing.
  • Better memory distribution.
  • Availability guarantee.

Cons

  • Improve the interface of the HMC and the RMC connections of the vios via specific ports.
  • Allow installing more unconventional Linux versions.

Power systems are better designed for applications that require a high response speed at the level of data processing, systems such as Databases, and high-flow transactional applications that require an immediate response level. However, for WEB applications and GUI applications, due to cost issues, it is better to consider an x86 or AMD computer.
