  • The self service suite could use a redesign and make it more comfort for everyone, including those who lack IT skills.

Yes

  • Reliability as promised, and stability better than any other.
  • Feature rich suites and tools reduced the effort and manpower for effective management.
  • Flexibility in Linux distribution, gave freedom to solution architects to use suitable platform and technology.
The performance, reliability and scalability offered by IBM Power servers were no match for others. And the other lacked in the self service suites and softwares for effective management of the infrastructure. Also the others are not robust enough to take our workload. The flexibility to support different platforms was not available in the competitors products.
IBM Power servers are well suited for use cases where the performance, reliability and scalability is paramount and support for on-prem is also expected at the sametime. It could really serve millions of customers without breaking a sweat if constructed effectively. Also I wouldn't recommend it if the usecase is very small and the traffic is less than 10k. Its bit pricy for the startups and very well suitable for enterprise.
