- Improved cloud storage optimization.
- Improved security policy management.
- Provided better data metering.
IBM Power System Virtual Server provides better technical support and user friendly tutorials to assist with set up. It also provides a variety of unique features that competitors do not have including a self-service portal that allows the provisioning of new VMs without direct system administrator intervention and metering data that can be used for chargeback.
IBM Power System Virtual Server has reduced vulnerabilities by providing better role based security policy management which has provided a more secure environment for performing server transactions. From an administrator standpoint it has helped improve resource optimization through setting up dynamic resource optimization schedules for periods of peak usage. The remote restart capability has allowed for greater server availability which is a great asset.
IBM Power System Virtual Server provides an easy to use all-in one platform that enable an administrator to deploy pre-built templates which simplifies the deployment of VMs for cloud users. The pre-built templates provide a consistent protocol for provisioning new VMs which reduces the risk of error. Additionally cloud users can request approvals for the pre-built templates from the administrator in the self-service portal to reduce setup costs.
