Yes
Did IBM Power Virtual Server live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of IBM Power Virtual Server go as expected?
Yes
Would you buy IBM Power Virtual Server again?
Yes
- Max uptime guaranteed
- Support all of our network configurations
- Limited security rules we could place in addition to already build in or purchase templates
- Active Intelligence Server (AIS) and Apache Web Server
All the options we considered were expensive when it comes to having dedicated server for any system. Thus we chose IBM where we could have maximum support over a shared DNS server for various types of Clusters. All of our clusters have been supported on IBM's PS VS. IBM's backup storage is also very competitive and performance of its computation capabilities was the deal clincher.
