Overall Satisfaction with IBM watsonx Assistant
We use IBM watsonx Assistant to drive our on-site customer support and to respond to basic product questions. It helps our organization to provide a better and more cohesive customer experience, and to save money on actual people responding to repetitive and simple questions that can be addressed by AI.
Pros
- Interface is intuitive and easy-to-learn
- Deep customization ability within the AI library and ability to constantly learn
- Chatbots and website virtual assistants can be created/deployed quickly and low LOE
Cons
- Fine tuning the AI models can be a bit difficult and has a steep learning curve
- The tool is very pricey
- The tool lags at times and sometimes the main sever running it needs to be rebooted
- Frees up headcount otherwise used for mundane email/chat responses to focus on other areas
- Improves customer satisfaction and thus, likelihood to buy again from us
- Can respond to multiple incoming questions/requests faster than a human could
Whereas previous AI engines that we utilized made many mistakes and did not accurately understand questions/requests, IBM watsonx Assistant is able to provide consistent and high-level feedback to customers; this improves their satisfaction since their questions are answered and they do not get frustrated with the tool misunderstanding them.
