Overall Satisfaction with Ideagen Quality Management

Ideagen Quality Management supports a number of processes at our organization. It's primary role is to keep our laboratory in compliance with regulation from multiple governing bodies. The workflow capabilities also track validation of laboratory methods and configuraiton changes in related software. We use it for HR processes like employee onboarding, training records, and separation. It's also used for software validation tracking for regulated applications. The solution is flexible for building workflows to suite the purposes of the business. We often use it as a consolidated place to perform one-off types of work as well.

Pros

  • Flexibility in workflow management
  • Regulatory compliance functionality
  • Regulatory compliance functionality

Cons

  • Responsive design
  • Inbox organization
  • Workflow status visibility for project managers
  • Organization has been able to reduce budget by only investing in one tool
  • Employee training and authorization workflows can be consolidated without adding functionality to other applications
  • Audit compliance and regulatory review requires minimal time to facilitate
The flexibility of use is very good. The workflows can be applied to a lot of different areas of the business and they're not difficult to build. Users can run reports and track progress of employee training compliance. Usability to me includes the experience aspect and the UI is a little tired. Re-working the front end for organizational purposes along with look and feel would keep this app fresh.
I was not involved in solution selection, but this solution is fit for purpose for a number of different tools that we could be paying for as well. We are not purchasing an HR workflow tool because the workflows accommodate most of our needs and the one that it doesn't aren't necessarily appropriate anyway. Regulatory software validations are performed in Ideagen because the overhead of a software specific tool is more that what we require. The upside is that all of those records are in a consolidated location for an audit.

Do you think Ideagen Quality Management delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Ideagen Quality Management's feature set?

Yes

Did Ideagen Quality Management live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Ideagen Quality Management go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Ideagen Quality Management again?

Yes

It's a flexible system that can be used in a lot of different scenarios. As a result this is a good tool for a small to medium size businesses. If an organization is large, I don't think it will support all the nuanced features or accountability/responsibility needs for administrators. I recommend a core administrator that has enough trust with the organization to allow for cross-departmental use.
