Overall Satisfaction with ion interactive

We wanted some landing pages with an extra level of interactivity and data tracking. For the tech group, this is very helpful since we are looking for new ways to deliver content to people who are needing to read it the most. ion is for those "high value" pieces of content that we want to drive effort behind.
  • It's great for design and more advanced techniques without extra web dev time.
  • It allows you to integrate with trackers and pixels easily.
  • You can set up projects with an organized look and feel.
  • It can do so much, it can be overwhelming. You need someone with web design experience creating the pages. Not for beginners.
  • Templates are great, but limited.
  • While specificity is great for proper data collection, it can be frustrating when you forget to check a box and it throws you for a loop.
  • It's brought increased awareness to the more advanced pieces of content we've created.
ion is a more high-end solution than other products I've used in the past. While other solutions might be more friendly to non-web devs, the advanced settings and ability to create in ion is what helps it stand apart. The help and documentation is also really good for ion and it has been a life saver.
ion is great for people with web design skills. It can provide some great data and interactivity if you are using a fairly simple website setup. It's less appropriate when you don't have any experience creating websites. At that point, ion would be impossible to use in a way that would see true benefit.

Using ion interactive

5 - It serves as a highly interactive landing page that suit very specific needs and requirements. If we need some advanced calculators, pass-through data and a level of "polish," we go to ION. It also allows for room to play with design choices and other elements we wouldn't normally have with a traditional website. We can also personalize the content in a targeted way.
2 - You need to know HTML and CSS very well to get it working as a baseline. You also should have skills with Javascript to really make the pages pop. You also need a good deal of patience since the tool is expansive and complicated. You should also have a healthy understanding of digital marketing basics so you can be tracking the things you want to do because the tool is expensive.
  • Interactive landing pages
  • Complex online "calculators"
  • Personalized content
  • We've used it for creating a video series
  • Tailoring pages more specific to people visiting.
It's expensive, but it's powerful. The cost can be prohibitive if you don't see constant value.

Using ion interactive

It can do a lot, but it comes at the cost of having to learn a lot.
