Overall Satisfaction with Jira Work Management (Jira Core)

Jira is being used in different phases of project implementation where business users log different types of issues encountered while performing business operations. It provides a variety of functionalities where users can create stories of different types of issues which stores the information of issue description, their resolutions, and testing evidence. It also provides the functionality of linking variant issues that belongs to the same subject area.

  • Creating task for upcoming assignment.
  • It provides Visibility of any encountered issues to large group of people.

Cons

  • Summary Dashboards can be enhanced by providing advanced data visualization functionalities which can give more detailed information on the issues.
  • Assigning defect/issue to the right owner.
  • Notifying different stallholders who need to know about the status of defects.
  • Creating tasks and stories for any upcoming assignment and notifying them in advance.
  • It has improved the way of defect resolutions.
  • It has made the communication much easier.
  • It can be enhanced further to support the scheduling mechanism where it will send the daily report to all the relevant stakeholders.
Jira provides multiple functionalities which any project needs during implementation. It has the feature of tagging the right owner to the issues. It has made the life of project managers easier to track the resolutions and efforts which was utilised for completing the task. It also provides the feature of attachment where users can attach their testing result/progress in the ticket created in Jira.
