Easy peezy!
Overall Satisfaction with Jolt
We use it within the Operations department. Scheduling a mix of part-time and full-time with a constantly flexible workforce has proven invaluable. It allows visibility for the whole team, who is on shifts and working together at the same time or when someone is not on shift. And visible on many devices.
Pros
- Access to the schedule across many devices
- Automatic updates to the team
- Flexibility to add as many variations to job functions in real time
Cons
- Allow more flexibility for TimeOff function, now limited to minimum of before the week begins
- Allow training access on mobile devices
- Allow a 'sandbox' feature for creating an initial schedule
- Easy to increase users with minimal training, reducing training costs.
- Very efficient in creating schedules and modifying, saving time and effort.
- Easy to use and adjust mid-stream. Again, the built-in efficiencies have allowed me to spend more time focusing on the business.
I've mostly used home-grown alternatives, using everything from Google Docs to spreadsheets. I basically found one that works really good: JOLT! And don't need to keep looking. We are a smallish team and like the fact that we can keep it simple. My business is operations and doesn't need a lot of fancy reports to justify the schedule to senior management when all they want to know is we have it covered. And we do with JOLT, in spades !!
