Overall Satisfaction with Joomla!
Being a website developer I work with multiple CMS. Joomla is by far my favorite because if it's ease of use for non-technical personnel, while being very flexible and extendable by those users with greater technical skills. I've been working with Joomla since it's 1.0 version and the evolution of the product to it's current (3.2.x) version has been astounding. With a road map that covers the continued development of Joomla well into the future, I'm looking forward to it. I'm also proud to say that I'll be continuing to use Joomla as my CMS of choice for the foreseeable future.
- Solid core functionality, including the new version tool.
- Many extensions to customize the application to my client's needs.
- Devoted development community.
- Could use better documentation.
- Quicker development process leads to a faster time to market.
As I previously stated, Joomla is more robust than Wordpress (specifically the inherent ACL), but requires less knowledge of code than Drupal. This enables me to use staff with a lower technological background to complete projects. This, in turn enables me to set lower price points than my competition.
