Overall Satisfaction with Joule
The Joule tool can be used in both technical and real-time end user as well. Which will allow us to use code to integrate without need of writing from scratch. At end user, it automates the process of creating sales order or purchase order or any other monotonous work like mail triggers, workflow approvals, user access, etc. the plus point is the adapting multiple LLM like Chat GPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Co-pilot, etc at the search engine end. This gives business flexibility to play around multiple tools with AI. This new endorsement ll bring a great opportunity to customer and SAP together. We can try the trail version to understand and to adapt to it in real-time scenarios.
Pros
- Code snippets or help create end to end code or interfaces design.
- Automate data cleansing such as removing duplicates, correcting the formats, compare to tables and provide filtered data based on queries, etc.
- Automate mail or workflow activities for end business user (This was tried as part of trail account in our team in Joule)
- Control the data with more flexi reports suggested by AI Joule.
- Monitor and govern standard reports provided by SAP with stats.
- Search tool is enabled for BP, which reduces tedious time taken for displaying results.
Cons
- Data is key to any business. They need to concentrate on private cloud with Joule for clients to be adapting to it more. As finance data by any company cannot be put in public cloud with AI.
- Test industry scenarios with close partners and set a example with real-time analytics
- Make sure value is added to company when leveraged and not to promote implementation due to AI bubble.
- As we have less examples on ROI we can’t judge the tool easily, so this is a negative sign
- We need to reduce cost where possible and adapt AI as per legal terms in a company. This may help company maintain and reduce redundant workforce.
As summarized earlier, Joule Copilot helps me as end developer to improve the code quality, propose new syntaxes on asked queries, improve performance of reports based on suggestions shared. Also many usage in automating few monotonous work through integrations support.
As a end user i have tried AI Agents in SAP Teched, it was quiet impressive to see an integrated and autonomous tool built by SAP as one package. Which hold visual studio kind a pop up assistance give, as well to object builder to adapt to technical skills, with role provisions to control .

24 - Around 24 business end users are provided to access Joule and use it for reporting, data analysis, search, filtering, other workflow activities. By this activity we would build business use cases - on how Joule can be used and adapted in real-time scenarios in business process management and reporting usages.
- Automation of reporting and workflow management
- Code quality improvement and system performance due to it
- Data cleansing activity through less resource management.
- Test unit creation and template build activities.
- Mainly on code initiatives it has helped us a lot to improve in quality and cleansing.
- Less bugs, better system performance, new code with less lines of code.
- Another at end user for reporting and workflow management.
- Trying to implement on automation of mail processes for workflow based on roles
- Creation of standard process templates such as functional, technical, unit cases and other supporting document standards.
Evaluating Joule and Competitors
Yes - Reducing dependency on developers for code improvements and system performance. Stopped using vendor tool provided to improve code quality as it was not up to the mark and also involved more manual work. Indirectly costing us more on resources and time to fix them and analyze the core issues. As SAP joule can run stats and provide solutions or code snippets on need basis.
- Cloud Solutions
- Scalability
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
I see it would be a positive change in evaluation.
