Kahoot! 360 Spirit for small teams

Overall Satisfaction with Kahoot!

I use It mainly in class during my lectures (higher education) for quizzes and engaging and fun activities and competitions. I usually create between 5 and 8 questions, some of which are timed longer than others. And I mix different types of questions.
I also use it in training and continuous professional development with professionals and colleagues.

Pros

  • User friendly
  • Engaging in the graphic
  • Fan (as it also has soundtracks for each question)
  • Timed answers with leaderboard

Cons

  • Having sometimes large classes means that I cannot use Kahoot! as it only allows a very limited amount of participants.
  • The above is the main issue and other competitor platforms (Mentimeter) do much better on this
  • There is also very limited choice with the basic account in terms of types of questions. Some sort of corporate license might help Universities purchasing the advanced subscription (which costs too much for a single professional) and have access to all the features.
  • It helped increasing students' evaluation of the quality of my modules (higher score)
  • I received also lots of qualitative comments pointing out that Kahoot! helps adding fun to the lectures
As mentioned, the limited choice between different types of questions forms limits a bit the usability (as some questions are better answered if presented in a specific form, e.g., not everything can be true or false for example). And I have also owned an advanced subscription for a while, so I had the chance to compare the two versions.
I think Kahoot! is more fun because of the graphics and of the soundtracks particularly spot on and engaging. It makes people feel excited about the competition. The other platforms have less of those aspects.

Do you think Kahoot! delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Kahoot!'s feature set?

Yes

Did Kahoot! live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Kahoot! go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Kahoot! again?

Yes

Small classes, up to 25 participants. But if with bigger classes, then I would probably recommend a different platform.
