Overall Satisfaction with Kaspersky Endpoint Security

Beside of the regular security anti-malware features that everybody know and many have appreciated a lot through the years, the product is very useful for remote software deployment needs. the product can deploy MSI packages with extra options like /quiet and many others and works trusted giving you reliable installation feedbacks (that could be instead an issue if you use MS GPOs). it can deploy also EXE packages that could be "embedded" along with other relevant files needed for the installation and this is not a frequent option with other products. It also consent to remove such deployed softwares accross your LAN, making you saving a lot of time and giving the possibility to remediate to critical vulnerabilities in third parties softwares, very quickly and in an affordable way. you can also choose if prompting the user for a reboot or force it. I'm using Kaspersky Security Admin Center to manage the features here described.

Pros

  • deploy software via MSI accross LAN
  • deploy software via EXE accross LAN
  • uninstall remotely installed softwares

Cons

  • polling LAN computer accross network sometime is not so reactive but you can force the installation just by entering hostname or ip address
  • time saved for remote apps deployment means money savings and free time to dedicate to other tasks
  • reliable security automatic detection engine and prevention means less incidents to manage and additional time to dedicate to different tasks, taht means also money saved for the company employer.
things are well logically organized, the learning curve could be not the easiest for advanced functionalities but this is the price to pay for products that can offer either easy to go setup and also advanced settings for complex or high secure requirements or needs. Also the support through national resellers in my experience has been very good over the years.
Cisco is very complicated to use in my opinion and this leads to some operational doubts when you have to manage sensitive and critical operations. with Kaspersky there's more trust perception and a feeling that everything is going the right way and as expected. Cisco AMP can't manage remote software deployment, at least as far as I know.
