Overall Satisfaction with Kendo UI
Kendo is a perfect tool to create management platform views. Its grid composition functionalities enable us to quickly get the detail of any row or to create a new view with only a few lines of code.
- Grid (filtering, sorting, composing)
- Datasource (manage any datasource and use it in any functionnality)
- Exports (Excel / PDF)
- Updates (few enough to be always up to date)
- The WEIGHT!! It is impossible to use it on a website or you will need to use separated scripts (at least 15 for only a few functionalities)
- A web development interface (Add API from your project. Add a custom fixed template and then create pages with only a few modules import).
- Debuging.
- Datasource documentation (when to call data.field instead of field, how to bind data source on a sublevel of a JSON call, etc.).
- Needed for one of my clients (++++ in ROI)
- Used in my own scripts (+++++ in ROI : far fewer development time)
Kendo UI was the framework chosen for the project, we excluded every other framework from the project to keep a light loading and maintaining the platform.
