No BS PDF editor... I ended up using it every single day!
Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
We use Kofax to view, assemble, redact and publish pleadings briefs, affidavits, and exhibits. New online filing systems require that documents be uploaded in PDF format and this does the job handily.
Pros
- Publishing PDF.
- Document assembly.
- Bookmarking.
Cons
- Better handling of redaction.
- Scripting to add bookmarks based on criteria.
- Big time saver and much cheaper than other products.
It is as easy to use as anything I have ever used before. Defiantly more full featured than some alternatives I have tried. Sometimes it is slows down in the assembly process when using documents that are hundreds of pages long but generally it is stable and predictable and just works which is what I like and need.
This is the second version of Power PDF I have purchased. I tried other programs when it came time to purchase an additional license. Even though some may have been cheaper, they just didn't have the polish of functionality of Power PDF that I needed and had grown accustomed to. It was also substantially cheaper than Adobe and offered, for my purposes, 100% of the functionality and ease of use.
