Overall Satisfaction with Linode

Our company uses Linode every day for many of our products and personal projects. We originally used Linode as a separate development environment but liked the pricing and scalability so much that we are currently migrating our older infrastructure to Linode. Linode has been faster and more cost-effective than any of our other Server or VPS providers in the past while giving us lots of options.

  • Could use more specialty tiers.
  • Interface isn't as friendly for newcomers.
  • Only need to buy what you use.
  • Lots of smaller upgrades instead of forcing you to an expensive tier.
  • Can use multiple on the same account.
Linode is far cheaper and faster than our Bluehost VPS'S. Linode gives us quite a few tiers that we can work our way up on instead of forcing us to a dedicated box like Bluehost does. Linode is also all SSD so even the really cheap Linodes feel snappier than our hard drive-equipped Bluehost server.
Haven't had to use it, their product has been so easy to use that we have not needed it.
Linode has allowed us to have the scalable infrastructure at a reasonable price, no more getting kicked to a dedicated tier just because we needed a little more.
One of our many uses of Linode is to host websites for clients, in this case, uptime is of the utmost importance since we don't want clients to experience interruptions.
Linode's pricing makes it hard to not recommend it for any project. People who need something basic like a small website can start at $5 a month and scale up as they get more traffic. People who need something more powerful can jump to a higher tier or use some of the special categories like high memory or GPU clusters.
