Overall Satisfaction with Linode

We are currently using Linode shared instances for hosting our entire project, as well as Linode's block storage for managing storage capacity. We have begun migration away from some services we were relying on AWS for, and moving them onto Linode's platform.
  • Reliability.
  • Customer Service.
  • Price.
  • Less features than AWS.
  • Cost saving.
  • Better customer service.
We migrated away from EC2 and S3 and onto Linode's instances and block storage. The reliability and speed is comparable, but Linode's price is cheaper and their customer service is far faster and better. I also prefer Linode's dashboard - particularly their DNS management, which I find to be superior to Amazon's Route 53.
One of the biggest reasons to move to Linode is the customer service. AWS forces you to pay to even shoot an email with a quick question, but Linode's customer support is top notch. Linode is reliable and easy to use, so I haven't needed to contact them very often - but the few times I have had to get in touch with them, they were super responsive, friendly and knowledgeable.
After moving most of our hosting services to Linode, we had our hosting costs drop dramatically. While AWS EC2 may have a multitude of different tiers and services, I believe you get way more for your money with Linode than a comparable EC2, while still maintaining the same speed and reliability.
The reliability with Linode has been spectacular for the 8+ years we have been using them. I have experienced virtually no downtime and have total confidence in their reliability.
Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service), Amazon Route 53
My organization has relied heavily on AWS for everything for many years - however we have started migrating to more and more of Linode's services. The customer support is faster and better, the prices are more affordable, and the speed and reliability is equal to what AWS was offering. I am also confident in the ability to scale under Linode.
