Overall Satisfaction with Loom

Our team is small and we are all remote. This requires us to pay extra attention to communication and documentation. We primarily use Loom to record our work processes so we can cross-train and bring on new staff. Instead of having one person schedule time on the busy calendar every time someone needs to learn how to do something, we now have a Loom video for them to watch. It means that our team can quickly adapt and pass tasks around with minimal training. Even better, the video is recorded when someone is already doing the task so it's really 2 birds with 1 stone. In terms of employee training and business operation documentation, Loom is invaluable.
  • Allows screen only if you don't want to have your video on
  • Having everything be links instead of downloaded files to manage is perfect
  • I wish there was a landing page of all my recorded videos that's easily accessible
  • I wish there was a way to have a team collaborative site where we can house and share videos
  • Saves immense amount of time to train staff on tasks
  • Ability to document all business operations processes to easily replicate with new clients
It's so easy to use I've never had the need to reach out to support. I receive an appropriate number of emails and other notifications when new features are released or people watch the videos I've recorded.

Training and onboarding are by far the best uses of the tool for my team. We are a remote team that don't all work the same schedule so it allows people to record work while they're doing it so that the how-to, step-by-step can be accessed by anyone later. We have an organized way to store all our videos so that people can find them when they need to do a new task.

For example, someone on our team went on vacation to another country and while they were away an unexpected task came up. Instead of having to bother this person on vacation, or clumsily figure it out on our own, one of us could watch the pre-recorded video and do the work that needed to be done.
