Overall Satisfaction with Loom

I use Loom as a product manager to record tours through products that I like. I also use it to record website tours, software training for others and myself, feedback videos, and all sorts of other uses. Loom is such a versatile tool that it is indispensable.

  • There is no way to censor sensitive information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers
  • The desktop app is super buggy
  • Great training resource!
  • Great for spying on competitor apps
I haven't needed Loom support for much, but when I have reached out, they promptly responded, even outside of standard business hours.

Loom is great for businesses of all sizes. It is a great training tool. Why write paragraphs of instructions when you can explain your process and demonstrate the data input throughout the app? I have also used it to record video calls (with permission) of software demos to save for later. It isn't recommended to screencast where sensitive data is visible unless you are prepared to export the videos to censor them.
