Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

I've used Microsoft Visio for years. While I'm extremely comfortable using it, that's not always the case with my team members and those I coach. What I love about Lucidchart is I can take a new user and we can collectively use it in real-time, in which I'm able to teach some of the functionality to the learner while building out process maps.
Our organization is advancing our Lean journey and a fundamental part of that is creating standard work for how we do our work. A common tool that UCSDH uses are swimlane diagrams to visualize how processes are performed across several roles. By mapping out the current state process using Lucidchart, our teams are able to identify and eliminate waste and variability more easily. And with the transition to remote work, using an online collaboration tool like Lucidchart has allowed our teams to work together remotely in real-time on this important work.
  • Plug and play swimlane diagrams
  • Real-time collaboration
  • Exporting and formatting documents
  • None at this point. Meeting all of our needs.
  • Improved performance by standardizing processes
  • Improving value by eliminating wasteful steps
Our organization is a Microsoft shop and there has not been much in the way in attempting further integration between LucidChart other than importing/exporting between [Microsoft] Visio. We've recently fully embraced [Microsoft] Teams and look to make that our primary communication and collaboration tool in the very near future.
The need for support has been incredibly minimal. I credit this to the ease of use and our ability to use our single sign on between UCSD and Lucidchart for ease of access.
