Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

It is easy to use and has easy access. Not much knowledge is needed to start creating and designing. The Template library allows us to dive in work immediately. Plenty of tools and functionalities to do the right job.
Lucidchart is being used across the organization. It provides collaborative opportunities among different departments to share information and designs. We use it to create flow charts, processes flows, and mind maps that help us brainstorm a solution to business issues. The strength of Lucidchart resides in its simplicity and effectiveness in creating or editing any design, either provided by you or others. One thing I love the most about Lucidchart is the Templates Library, especially the variety of Mind Maps templates. I use mind map templates quite often to not only zoom in on goals but also to structure thoughts/ideas on how to reach goals.

Pros

  • Mind Maps templates
  • Easy to share a design with others
  • Web-base tool (no need for installation)
  • The variety of tools, shapes, colors and others

Cons

  • The user interface (It is not that friendly). It surely needs to be enhanced from my experience.
  • Include pictures library (Similar to other tools such as MS PowerPoint) it is apparently easy to do!
  • Other media type, like audio or video.
  • Time saving is number one due to its easy share functionality.
  • Ready template allows us to be more productive.
The only application I use with Lucidchart is Slack. It surely made life easier when it comes to sharing a design or workflow I created.

I have not used any other products like Lucidchart
From my fairly new experience using Lucidchart, I believe it is most suited for process flow and mind mapping. Those two scenarios Lucidchart was extremely effective and helpful in. As it takes me about 90mins to reach work, an offline version would surely help. So, in the scenario where the internet is slow or disconnected, we cannot use it.
