Overall Satisfaction with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus
We use ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus to patch our Windows Server estate. Previously we were using WSUS which was proving hard to manage servers with failed patches which would sometimes take hours to report in. ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus is instantaneous and makes patching so easy now. Fixing patching issues can be done within 15 minutes rather than hours.
- Reporting
- Management of Computers from the console
- Broad range of 3rd party applications
- Would like to be able to still install patches that are older than 3 months
- Would like to be able to upload our own installers, but understand this is part of endpoint central
- It has saved engineers so much time when monitoring patching out of hours.
- We no longer need to log into each individual server to patch it if it's failed, it can all be done from inside ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus itself.
We previously used Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS). The reporting was extremely limited and all remediation had to be done manually, you can't initiate a reboot or a manual install like you can from ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus. Creation of Automated Patching groups is easy and we no longer have to mess around with group policies like we did with WSUS.
