Overall Satisfaction with Marketo

Our marketing team owns the instance, we use it to promote our content, house our contact data records, and sync it to Salesforce.

Pros

  • Easy to create modules for templating
  • Syncs well with Salesforce

Cons

  • Difficult campaign creation interface compared to Eloqua or Marketing Cloud
  • Only creates one lead per contact in Salesforce
  • Interface is a little tricky at times
Marketo is much better for asset creation and creating modules/templates that are heavy code based to create, but other users want to customize and don't know coding. Eloqua was much easier to create campaigns with and also report and use custom objects with.
Great for creating templates for multiple uses, easy to use for one-off emails.
Can be challenging for complex nurture campaigns due to how program structure is set up.
