Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Marketo Engage
Adobe Marketo Engage is being used across the whole marketing organization. It really helps us to get insights into the end-to-end customer journey, from when our customers first visit our website, evaluate our products and services, register for more information, receive additional materials from us through nurture programs to customer onboarding and loyalty programs.
Pros
- Adobe Marketo Engage has different integrations with business apps, such as Salesforce; it's great to have the integration and share insights with sales.
- Adobe Marketo Engage provides a lot of different customization options so that you can make sure of Adobe Marketo Engage to build a customer journey best suited to your customers' needs.
- Adobe Marketo Engage provides different training so you can learn how to make the best use of the platform to address your business needs.
Cons
- Adobe Marketo Engage can seem to have a really complex architecture even to those who have marketing automation platform experience.
- With the complex architecture, I think Adobe Marketo Engage is more suitable for medium to large enterprises with a big marketing team so there is enough expertise to implement and maintain the platform according to business needs.
- Because of the complex architecture and the number of users that need to be involved, it's also harder for anyone to become a superuser to be on top of everything happening with and inside of Adobe Marketo Engage. Definitely more and better communication is needed as a result.

- Lead Management
We use email sends for our product launches, going to drive awareness and trial registrations for our new products. We use Adobe Marketo Engage's drip and engagement programs to nurture our leads and also onboard the trial users. Adobe Marketo Engage provides reporting options where you can customize to get insights into your email sends and nurture programs, which can help with your optimization.
I wasn't involved in the selection of the marketing automation platform in my organization. But I think the main difference between HubSpot and Adobe Marketo Engage is that HubSpot is easier and faster to implement, use and maintain, thus more suitable for small businesses. If you are looking for more customization options to cater to your business' and customers' needs and you have a large marketing team, I think Adobe Marketo Engage would be a more suitable option.
