MasterControl Qx Review
Overall Satisfaction with MasterControl Quality Excellence
We use Qx to control all of our procedures, records, validation documents, test methods along with eForms. This ensures compliance with internal and regulatory requirements. One solution was getting out of paper and going fully electronic. We are now working to scan thousands of legacy GMP records and eventually import. This will provide ease of location and linking.
Pros
- Packet features have improved to capture changes and reason for changes
- Search capabilities have improved to allow for removing and adding fields in results
- Flexibility to configure publisher for released, archived, and draft documents
Cons
- Unable to link reports to My links
- Building Data Structures is tough when trying to scroll down the list. System prevent an easy scroll. Also not sortable
- Rules hasn’t worked at all since JReports were introduced
- Positive - had great impact to obtain QP certification. We managed over 900 docs to address audit findings
- Positive- rebuilt system in 3 months and got 75% of org trained.
- Positive- developed and deployed a three tiered training system to include classrooms and deployed in phases over 6 months.
MasterControl dominates the workflow space. Veeva docs did not have an intuitive workflow.
