Overall Satisfaction with Memsource

I use Memsource in order to translate different kind of texts such as videogames and perform LQA Testing. The best problem it solves is the fact that you can work online in the cloud. You do not need to download anything and you got everthing safe and always stored, which is appreciated so you cannot lose any progress if something fails.

Memsource is way cheaper and easier to use. Other softwares seem really old-fashioned and out of date. They are very difficult to use for a new learner and the UI is not good looking. Also, the price for products like Trados is too much expensive for a new freelancer and many companies are switching from Trados to Memsource or other software.

Is well suited for videogames with several strings. It allows you to focus in each string separately and look for tags cautiously. Also, the shortcuts are really useful for games translation. Doing LQA Testing is also easy and it shows you clearly the errors in the segments, so you can fix them asap. In other translation ambits such as literary, it is not very appropiate.
