Overall Satisfaction with Mendix
As consultancy company we develop applications for customers. With the Mendix platform we are able to develop solutions in full freedom. The low code platform ensures that our customers can actively follow up each sprint. The agile function on the Mendix platform is also very interesting for our customers, because they can follow each job and what has been done easily.
- Low code platform: it is easy to understand, easy to develop. The ease of Mendix is a super con.
- Active (forum) community, helping each other with all kind of questions.
- Theming code according to CSS Bootstrap.
- Innovation can be developed faster.
- Haven't created easy connectivity with for instance Dropbox and other Microsoft related tools.
- Document templates compared to the rest of the model are cumbersome.
- Allowing personal email registration would be more helpful for people without business yet.
Recently we built an Asset Management app.
Within our project development team it is clear who has which responsibility in the project. Due to the stories and sprints it is easier to work step by step. This way you won't encounter any unexpected problems.
Very well suited for front-end and back-end applications that integrate other systems, both modern as legacy. Mendix can be used to create portals, backend systems, process and task driven applications and much more. As Mendix is a platform to build software with, you should not build software that is already available from the shelf. Building a CRM in Mendix would be not very wise as CRMs are already widely available as SAAS solutions.
