Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft 365 Business Premium

Microsoft office 365 is used to manage classic office Automation apps like Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook and also sometimes Access and Publisher. Another additional valuable app is then One Note, very nice and synced accross all your devices. moreover also a lot of security aspects of a modern IT department could be managed through this very complete suite of cloud and local apps and you can extend your functional perimeter along your journey and at your pace. Also the benefit to have Ms Intune like a fully integrated MDM platform that is also an apps management platform and OS deployment tool and even a replacement of local AD GPOs, is a totally apreciated plus. Last but not least you have a totally complete suite of tools to manage your Exchange platform and mail services as well as GDPR and other compliance constraints (sensitivity labels and much more)

Pros

  • email management
  • instant messaging, audio and video call, documents sharing and job cooperation through Microsoft Teams
  • traditional office automation tasks (Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word, etc.)
  • IT security management (MDM, EDR, antispam, conditional access, MFA, etc.)

Cons

  • Email log tracking is not so comfortable
  • a big effort to simplify GUI and navigation should be done
  • introduce effective AI to simplify security management accrosso so many functionalities (security agent guided workflow would be great)
  • positive impact to get access to a modern IT platform that is always updated, that means to be always on top of security
  • the integration between cloud and local apps and between devices give a seamless job experience that leads to be more effective and productive.
  • getting most part of your IT services inside the same platform give the company a clear visibility and control on the overall operational cost for a large perimeter of apps and scopes
the experience is quite good but maybe overwhelming in some circumstances. the introduction af AI agent based personal assistent could be a game changer to ease the IT technician experience inside the platform.
In general it would be great to be more guided into the processes and settings and some simplified workflow should be achieved by relying on more wizards, guided tours, application of progressive disclosure principles and so on.
there are no real competition in the field. Microsoft Office 365 stands out every other competitor and even if you consider single sub-item or functionality like MDM or EDR or Email services or Instant messaging and file sharing, you will easily understand andbe convinced that they are always among the best in class. if you add the fact that the integration among all the tools is inside the same platform, the conclusion is immediately clear, there's no real battle out there unless you have some very specific needs or tools that you don't want or you can't substitute.
