Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Azure Active Directory
The whole organization utilizes AzureAD. It allows for a secure, reportable identity management system that can be controlled and utilized anywhere in the world.
- Allows for onpremise replication of existing identities
- Has the ability to integrate with 3rd parties
- provides an entire suite of APIs to grant as little or as much information to programs as desired.
- provides both web interface and command-line interface for administrating
- Updated documentation could use some improvement.
- Speed of change replication can be slow sometimes during high traffic times
- some features available through the command line are NOT available through the web interface.
- random outages can be frustrating
- User account management with Multi-Factor authentication
- Access logs for troubleshooting issues
- The ability to manage user accounts from anywhere
- Allowed us to quickly migrate users and admins to a work from home scenario in 2020
- Gives a single pane for all user/group management needs
- Allows us to manage guest access to our network resources
We looked at a couple of identity solutions, but none integrated quite as fully to our existing services. Since we are mostly a MS shop utilizing AzureAD to manage our systems made the most sense as it gave us the highest integration levels.
