Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint

We have Microsoft Defender for Endpoint deployed on our workstations, laptops, and other devices.

Pros

  • Detects bad links
  • spotting Malware in attachment

Cons

  • Updates need to be more frequent
  • access to logs on events
  • The basic product is free and comes within Windows
  • They are constantly improving the product
  • Other
Cost is very low compared to other products
The Smart app control feature, we have a lot of 3rd party apps our users participate in and this gives us a little extra security
Windows 10, 11 mostly
cost is an important factor

Using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint

400 - clerks, accounting, management, in a government environment.
3 - We have system Engineers, also desktop support workers helping.
  • To protect the end users
  • We have the protection in place to keep our operation running.
  • We feel this product that gives the day to day operation peace of mind in place.
  • We currently only used the standard configuration in place.
  • WE are currently looking into having an administrator assigned to customize the product.
It’s a solid product.
