Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams Rooms

We use Microsoft Teams Rooms for our video conferencing requirement in our meeting rooms. These are very helpful when interacting with our customers on a monthly basis to present them with monthly reports. Using these makes the experience very much immersive and engaging for both the parties. Collaboration becomes easy with remote parties.

Pros

  • Camera view selection is a nice feature which allows remote users to choose the camera feedback to select for better experience.
  • Live reactions like hand claps, thumbs up, raised hands,etc can be used to indicate to presenters that a meeting attendee has a question. This is cool.
  • We can connect our laptop seamlessly to the Microsoft Teams Rooms to share our content or presentation which makes things very simple.

Cons

  • We would like to see a view which focuses on each individual and places them in a separate frame for an immersive experience.
  • It should connect to the Teams app in laptop as soon as we enter the room using some medium like mic audio.
  • Low bandwidth consumption codec to be developed to allow good quality video conferencing even in low bandwidth networks.
  • User collaboration between remote employees has improved causing a positive impact on employee productivity.
  • Greater employee productivity has caused greater profits to the department.
  • Employees are happy to use new technology resulting in increased employee satisfaction.
Microsoft Teams Rooms are backed by Microsoft's good technology expertise and have a variety of devices that are suitable for a variety of businesses. The support provided by the technical support team is average to good and online documentation is available. The licensing cost is competitive and lucrative. Overall Microsoft has placed them in the market very thoughtfully.
Microsoft Teams Rooms is better than Yealink conferencing phones but not better than Webex App or the Webex conferencing devices. Microsoft Teams Rooms have better system features than Yealink devices. Yealink lacks in variety of features and also focuses more on core functionality. Microsoft Teams Rooms has been selected as it suited our enterprise needs of better collaboration between remote employees.

Microsoft Teams Rooms is well suited for small to medium sized meeting rooms in corporates. The devices are well suited for enterprises requiring collaboration between employees from different locations as part of hybrid working styles. It may not be appropriate for large scale events where more than 1000 users are joining due to some performance issues.
