Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Mimecast sits in front of our On Premise Virtual Machine Exchange 2019 Exchange Server. Used for blocking filtering emails, checking contents of Emails and attachments for suspicious activity stripping, rejecting or holding emails or attachments and re writing urls. Allowing users to access email via the mobile App with 2 factor authentication

Usability

Yes using the same administration console is good, as user that you have assigned limited functionality to the console, they are already familiar with it when you increase their functionality. The new portal does take a bit of getting used to, but i can see that it is an improvement on the old version.

Impact

Mimecast Advanced Email Security was already in place in the this firm when i started woriking here.

It is a must for any business dealing with volume email, senders spoofing your address are automatically blocked if you have your profiles set up, newly created domains are not trusted, emails are always accessible even if deleted from your deleted folder Maybe could have a cheaper version for smaller firms
